FLORIDA KEYS FISHING CHARTERS

Fishing the Backcountry and the Flats in the waters of Key Largo, Florida with light tackle is one of the best experiences you will ever encounter.  Captain "Mitch" Mitchell has been fishing the flats and backcountry waters of Key Largo for his whole life.  Not only is Capt. Mitch a Licensed and Insured Master Captain, he is also a licensed Everglades National Park Fishing Guide.  He fishes the waters of the Upper Florida Keys, including Tavernier and Islamorada, up the West Coast of Florida all the way to East Cape. The waters in the Key Largo Backcountry are filled with some of the best sport fish in the world.  Tarpon, bonefish, permit, snook, redfish, and even sharks are just a few of the many fish that make the Key Largo backcountry a destination that every angler should experience.

Captain Mitch is dedicated to bringing you a fast paced and exciting backcountry fishing experience in the Upper Florida Keys.  The  fishing trips regularly take you through Florida Bay, Flamingo, Everglades National Park, and Biscayne Bay. Captain Mitch promotes CPR fishing,  "Catch, Photograph, and Release."   Don’t forget your camera so that you can capture that great fishing moment where you have one on the line!   Captain Mitch isn’t against keeping a fish now and then, but he respects and understands the natural ecological systems of the waters in which he frequents.

While fishing in the Florida Keys you will be exposed to many different types of wildlife.  It’s not unusual to see bald eagles, brown and white pelicans, osprey, and spoonbills.  In addition to the fish that you will catch you might even get lucky enough to see or enjoy the experience of dolphins swimming alongside the boat and maybe even a see a saltwater crocodile or manatee.  Again, don’t forget your camera!

Capt. Mitch is the one to call if you want a Florida fishing guide that can make your Key Largo backcountry fishing charter one to remember.

Reel Chaos fishing successFishing News - July 22, 2011
The weather has been really hot this week, in the mid 90’s, and water temperature around 90 to 91, but the fishing has been really good.  Also this week we did several day time Tarpon trips, the bite has been fantastic.  This week we had a couple Sea Trout trips; we had a really good time.  Also we got a 3 Permit one day and 1 another day, we weren’t really fishing for them, but they were there, so we had to try for them and got them.  This week we also fishing back country we had a great Snook bite, but we only caught two, as we were really out for Tarpon. It's my favorite time of year and a lot of fun to go after the Silver Kings. ........go to  fishing reports for more info.
